On Starting School...

Well, today was officially the third day of 8th grade at Landmark, and the second for me, and I guess all I'll say is that it's interesting.

I wish things were how they used to be. I don't like being the "big kid."  I like having older kids to look up to, but I guess this year, that's just not gonna happen. Do you ever feel like you have to take a certain kind of responsibility, but you think you're not quite ready yet? That's pretty much how I feel right now. Do you know how tempting summer looks right now?? I wish I could be laying on the couch with my favorite blanket watching Little House on the Prairie instead of having to go to school, but that's not gonna happen...

But I once heard from somebody that when you're always comfortable, you never really have a chance to live life or to learn. And even though that statement is very painful for me right now, I have to accept that it's true, and live my life uncomfortably, because without being uncomfortable, I can't press forward in my life. That applies to so many situations. In so many aspects in life, we need to step out in faith, no matter how unsure we are about what God is telling us to do.

We need to step out of that "couch mentality", and shift into the "riding your bike mentality". If we are always stationary, we can never move forward.

I guess I just ask you guys to think about this...

Yep! That's all I have to say!
